2. Purpose of the website

The website provides general information about WiredLight, its capabilities, experience and services. It is not an online store or checkout service and does not itself conclude a contract for the supply of WiredLight services. Sending an enquiry or email does not create an engagement. Any professional services engagement is governed by the applicable written proposal, statement of work, order, contract or other agreement accepted by WiredLight and the client.

3. Website information

WiredLight takes reasonable care when preparing website content, but the content is general information and may be changed, corrected or updated without notice. Unless expressly stated in a written agreement, website content is not technical, legal, financial or other professional advice and is not a binding offer, quotation, representation, warranty or contractual commitment.

4. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website design, text, graphics, branding, software and other original materials are owned by or licensed to WiredLight and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and use the website for legitimate personal or business-information purposes, but you may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, commercially exploit, scrape or modify substantial parts of the website without permission or another lawful basis.

Third-party trade marks, names, software, imagery and other materials remain the property of their respective owners. Certain photographs or visual materials may be used under third-party licences, including Pexels licences where applicable. References to third-party products or organisations do not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation unless expressly stated.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or likely to impair the website or another person’s rights. In particular, you must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, infrastructure, accounts or related systems.
  • Introduce malicious code, automated attacks or other harmful material.
  • Interfere with the availability, integrity or security of the website.
  • Use automated extraction or scraping in a way that imposes an unreasonable load, circumvents technical controls or infringes intellectual-property or other rights.
  • Misrepresent an affiliation with WiredLight or use WiredLight branding in a misleading manner.

6. Third-party websites and services

The website may link to third-party websites, platforms or services. WiredLight does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, terms or privacy practices. A link is provided for convenience and does not, by itself, amount to an endorsement.

7. Availability and security

WiredLight takes reasonable steps to operate and protect the website, but does not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or free from harmful components. We may suspend, restrict, change or withdraw all or part of the website where reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WiredLight is not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss arising solely from your use of, inability to use or reliance on general information on this website. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 where either Act applies.

9. Privacy

Personal information is processed in accordance with the WiredLight Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. The Contact pagecreates a draft in the visitor’s own email application; information is not submitted to WiredLight through the website unless the visitor sends the resulting email.

10. Governing law

These website terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory law that applies irrespective of this clause. The courts of South Africa have jurisdiction in relation to disputes concerning these terms, subject to applicable law and any valid dispute-resolution agreement between the parties.

11. Changes to these terms

WiredLight may update these terms from time to time. The version and date shown at the beginning identify the current version. Continued use of the website after an update is subject to the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.
